Six years ago when I started Titan Group, I was immediately frustrated with the lack of digital software technology being used to track the usage of DEA controlled substances. 95% of the industry was still using hand written logbooks, in part because there was not an effective, affordable, and powerful solution outside of expensive automatic dispensing machines.
Then I discovered VetSnap and I immediately fell in love with the product. So much so that I wanted to make its use mandatory for all of our current clients that are using paper logbooks. Why? Simply because I believe it is the most powerful, intuitive, and easy to use program on the market today. VetSnap was the first electronic DEA record keeping program that gave the ability to see every movement of the controlled substance supply chain, and gives advance notice if something fishy is going on; when your paper logbooks can’t even hold a fishing pole, much less warn you of any impending problems.

Jack Teitelman is a retired DEA Supervisory Special Agent with over 26 years of experience fighting the illegal trafficking of narcotics and controlled substances. Jack joined the DEA in 1988 upon earning a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from the University of North Florida.
That same year, Jack graduated from the FBI Academy, Quantico, VA and was assigned to the DEA New York Division, where he spent the first eight years of his career before being promoted to Supervisory Special Agent and transferred to the Atlanta Technical Operations Group. 9/11 brought him back to New York City due to his expertise in sophisticated electronic surveillance programs, including tactical and non-tactical technology-based solutions, that enabled and enhanced the DEA’s intelligence and law enforcement functions.
In 2008, Jack transferred to the New York Organized Crime Drug Enforcement “Strike Force” (Strike Force) comprised of agents and officers of the US Drug Enforcement Administration and the New York City Police Department, where he led an international team of investigators that lead to a 25-count indictment against Rafael Alvares, a/k/a Rafi, head of an international narcotics importation organization and his associates. The operation was one of the most brazen cases of reckless killings for the benefit of narcotics trafficking that the DEA had seen ever seen.
